Terms and conditions for Kenhub Anatomy 3D

Welcome to Kenhub Anatomy 3D! Kenhub Anatomy 3D is a mobile application (the App) operated by Kenhub GmbH (referred to as Kenhub, we, us, our). It offers an interactive 3D anatomy learning experience that is separate from our website (kenhub.com). We help our users (you) learn about human anatomy in a fun and engaging way through the App.

The following Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) govern the relationship between you and us for using Kenhub Anatomy 3D. Please read them carefully.

In particular, these T&Cs inform you about:

  • the start and end of our contract,
  • the payment for your subscription,
  • your right of withdrawal,
  • our liability, and
  • copyright and ownership of content.

§ 1 How do I get to use Kenhub Anatomy 3D and when do I enter into a binding contract?

  1. Downloading and agreeing to terms: To use Kenhub Anatomy 3D, you must download it from an official app store (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store). By installing and launching the App, you agree to these T&Cs and enter into a binding contract with us. No separate user account or registration is required to use the free version of the App.
  2. Personal use only: You may only use Kenhub Anatomy 3D as an individual for your own personal education (learning anatomy). Any other use is not allowed. In particular, you must not use the App for business, teaching, or other commercial purposes. Also, you should not share any paid access (Pro subscription content) with others except as permitted on your personal devices (see § 2).
  3. Official distribution: Kenhub Anatomy 3D is only available through official app stores. For your security and the best experience, do not download the App from any unofficial sources.

§ 2 What can I do with Kenhub Anatomy 3D?

  1. Features of the App: Kenhub Anatomy 3D provides an interactive 3D model of human anatomy (licensed from our partner SciePro GmbH) along with related educational content. The App is designed to guide you through anatomical structures and help you study human anatomy in 3D.
  2. Free version: We offer a free version of the App that gives you access to limited content – specifically, the skeletal system. You can explore the bones and basic anatomy at no cost. You do not need to register an account or provide any personal information to use the free version.
  3. Pro subscription and free trial: For full access to all content (all body systems and features), we offer a paid Kenhub Anatomy 3D Pro subscription. We may also provide a free trial period that unlocks Pro content for a limited time without any payment or registration. After any such free trial expires, you will lose access to the Pro features unless you decide to purchase a subscription.
  4. Multiple devices: A Kenhub Anatomy 3D Pro subscription can be used on up to three (3) of your personal devices. This means you can enjoy the full content on, for example, your phone and tablet and one additional device, as long as they are tied to your app store account or as allowed by us. The subscription is personal to you – it’s meant for one user and should not be shared beyond your own devices.
  5. Standalone service: Kenhub Anatomy 3D is a standalone service separate from the Kenhub.com website. This means that a subscription or account on our Kenhub website does not automatically apply to the App, and vice versa. You do not need a Kenhub.com account to use this App.

§ 3 How much does it cost and how does the payment work?

  1. Free content: Downloading the App and using the basic (free) content is free of charge. If you only use the free version (skeletal system), you will never be charged by us.
  2. Pro subscription pricing: If you choose to upgrade to Kenhub Anatomy 3D Pro, you will need to purchase a subscription. The prices for the Pro subscription are displayed within the App. All prices are shown in the applicable currency based on your region. Taxes (such as VAT in the EU) are included in the price unless stated otherwise. We do not offer any lifetime subscription plan for this App – only recurring subscription options (for example, monthly or yearly plans) are available.
  3. Payment method: Payments for the Pro subscription are processed securely through Stripe. When you purchase a subscription, you will be redirected from the App to a Stripe-hosted checkout page, where you will provide your payment details (such as credit card information). Stripe handles the payment processing and securely stores your payment information. Kenhub does not have access to your full payment details.

§ 4 How long does my contract last?

  1. Free usage duration: Your contract for using the free version of Kenhub Anatomy 3D is not limited by time. However, both you and we have the right to terminate this contract at any time (see § 6 and § 9).
  2. Subscription duration: Paid subscriptions for Kenhub Anatomy 3D Pro last for the period you select when purchasing (for example, one month or one year). The subscription begins as soon as your payment is confirmed and continues for the length of the paid term. After that, it will renew automatically unless cancelled (see § 5 and § 6).

§ 5 Does my paid subscription renew automatically?

Yes. Your Kenhub Anatomy 3D Pro subscription will automatically renew at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel it beforehand. Recurring charges will be processed securely through Stripe using the payment method you provided on the checkout page.

§ 6 How do I cancel?

  1. Cancellation method: You can cancel your Kenhub Anatomy 3D Pro subscription at any time by visiting the Stripe-hosted subscription management page (also called the customer portal). A link to this page is provided within the App and/or in your subscription confirmation email. Simply deleting the App will not cancel an active subscription – you must actively cancel through the Stripe portal.
  2. Access until end of period: After you cancel, you will continue to have access to Kenhub Anatomy 3D Pro features until the end of your current paid subscription period. Your subscription will not renew after that period. We do not offer refunds or credits for any unused time in your final subscription period after cancellation.
  3. Reversion to free version: Once your Pro subscription ends, the App will revert to the free version. You will still be able to use the free content, but will no longer have access to the full Pro content unless you subscribe again.

§ 7 What if I don’t like your services?

  1. Money-back guarantee: If you are not happy with Kenhub Anatomy 3D for any reason, please contact us ([email protected]) within the first 7 days after you first subscribe to Kenhub Anatomy 3D Pro. We will cancel your subscription and refund your payment in full.
  2. Limitations: This guarantee applies only to your first subscription purchase. It does not apply to renewals of an existing subscription or repeat subscriptions.

§ 8 Do I have a right of withdrawal?

Yes. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have a legal right of withdrawal. You may withdraw from your subscription contract within 14 days of purchase, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision (for example, by emailing us). Please refer to our Instructions on Withdrawal document for details. If you withdraw within the 14-day period, we will provide a refund in accordance with the law.

§ 9 What is Kenhub’s liability and how is it limited?

  1. Service availability: We strive to keep Kenhub Anatomy 3D available and functioning smoothly, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime.
  2. Content accuracy: The App is an educational tool and should not substitute for professional medical advice or training.
  3. Unlimited liability: We are fully liable for damages caused by intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health.
  4. Limited liability: For other damages, our liability is limited to typical and foreseeable damages resulting from a breach of essential contractual obligations.

§ 10 Who has the copyright and who owns the content?

  1. Kenhub content and SciePro 3D model: All content provided in Kenhub Anatomy 3D is protected by copyright. The 3D anatomical model is provided under license from SciePro GmbH and remains the intellectual property of SciePro.
  2. No external use without permission: You may use the App’s content for your personal learning only. Any other use requires our written consent.

§ 11 Which law is applicable to my contract?

This contract and these Terms are governed by German law. If you are a consumer residing in another country, you remain entitled to the protections of your local consumer laws.

§ 12 What happens if we have a disagreement?

If you are not happy with something, please contact us first. We will always try to find a solution together.

If we cannot agree, you may use an out-of-court dispute resolution service. These services help solve problems without going to court and are usually faster and cheaper.

If you live in the European Union, you can also contact your European Consumer Centre (ECC). They offer free help and can tell you which dispute resolution options are available in your country.
